Site Icons

A site icon or "Favicon" is an icon unique to your site. It is displayed throughout WordPress.com, in your visitor's browser tab, as bookmarks to your saved pages.

The image has to be a square, and at least 512 pixels long and wide.

Site Icon to add or change

  1. Login to your wordpress, go to your left side menu.

  2. Click on Appearance.
  3. Click on Personalize in the popup submenu.

  4. In the new window go to General Settings.

  5. Select your Site identity.

  6. Finally choose the preferred image and take into account the given specifications.

In this last window you can Add, Delete or Change the Site Identity image.

If you edited the image, it will be loaded first before saving the new settings. You should see a circle indicating that your new icon is being loaded. You will know the icon is ready when you see a notice confirming that the settings have been saved successfully.

Please note that it may take a few hours before you see your new icon. In case the icon does not update, you can try clearing your browser cache and cookies.
