Track DNS

The network tool allows a user to find information about any domain or to trace the path from the server your site is on to the computer from which you are accessing cPanel. Finding information about a domain can be useful to make sure that your DNS is configured properly, as it will find information about its IP address as well as its DNS.

  1. From Cpanel, click on "Track DNS":

2. The Domain Lookup tool allows you to look up the IP address of any domain, as well as DNS information about that domain. It can be a very useful tool after setting up your site or after making DNS changes to make sure your DNS is configured correctly.

3. The Trace Route tool allows you to track the path from the computer you are accessing cPanel from to the server your site is on (i.e., the number of servers and which servers your data must pass through to get to your site).
