General configurations give you control on how your site is presented, such as the title, labels, language and appearance.
To change the general configuration of the site:
Look at the page General Adjustments.
Changing site title and tags
The first configuration you will see is the Site Title. The site title is shown in the title bar of a web browser and is displayed in the header of many topics. The title of the Site will appear in the following locations:
- Administrador toolbar Blog menu https://en.support.wordpress.com/admin-bar/#blog-menu (upper left) when they see your blog.
- Administrador toolbar – Main menu https://en.support.wordpress.com/admin-bar/#main-menu . when they see blogs launed under your account.
- My Sites on the main page of WordPress.com.
The title of your site can be anything you want; does not have to be the same as the URL of your Blog or your username. You can use the clean version of your URL (e.j., myawesomeblog07 can become My Awesome Blog), or change it for what you think best represents the personality of the site and theme.
Note: No matter what title change you make, your address will be the same.
Language
The language option lets you select the language to use for some of the text of the topic shown to your Blog visitors. If you select an RTL language (for example, Hebrew), then the theme layout will be displayed as a mirror in itself then the text can be read correctly from right to left.
Privacy
Control the privacy settings to determine who can see your site or not.
